Our largest employer, the paper industry, was lured here by forest resources and the waterways by which they could get lumber and paper processed and to market. We are still home to Kimberly-Clark, manufacturer of Kleenex tissues, as well as several other national paper corporations.

Other major employers include Oshkosh B'Gosh, Curwood, Inc., Oshkosh Truck Corp. and Miles Kimball Co.
